[It had been several weeks since Nautica had come to Earth, and despite the eventfulness of her arrival, the time since has passed without incident. Even in that short time however, she had proven herself to be invaluable. Her wealth of scientific and mechanical knowledge had allowed them to upgrade several existing systems within their base, and her ability to work with even the relatively primitive human technology was nothing short of remarkable.

[However, for all her skill, Nautica had one severe deficiency, one that could jeopardize her safety. The skirmish on the beach had demonstrated her ... aptitude, for combat, and while he did not intend to bring her into combat, it was unlikely that she would avoid a similar situation forever. Would that he could, but Optimus could not shield her from all harm in a firefight. A level of basic combat training could go a long way to ensuring her continued safety.
